The machine used was a Bridgeport Series One milling machine, although the information presented was kept as generic as possible, it is applicable to many varieties of machine tools.
With your host Mike Stets you will follow him as he leads you through the rebuilding process chronologically, from an introduction to the machine, a review of tools, disassembly, scraping and aligning of each component in turn (column, knee, saddle, table, gibbs), the use of bluing, and final alignment checks.
Although intended primarily as a reference tool for mechanics to check the details of each portion of a rebuild, this video could also be used as an overall tutorial in the steps of a general machine tool rebuild, with some specific information relating primarily to the vertical knee mill configuration.
